That's totally dependent on your tolerance to cold, duration of your dive, and your level of activity. I sometimes wear the same undergarment while active in 34F water as I do sitting still with students in 65F water. I would guess this undergarment would work for many recreational divers in the 50-60F range assuming moderate levels of exertion. It can also be worn under other layers for colder water and longer dives or less activity.
