Hi Jim,
One of the biggest advantages to a steel tank is the ability to take weight off of your weight belt. The 106 has a 15 year life and a higher service pressure. A big disadvantage here is that it will be extremity difficult to find a place that could/would fill this tank to its capacity of 4350 PSI. If you can got get the tank filled to this pressure it will result is less tank volume. The 106 must also be hydro tested every three years instead of the normal 5 like the 149.
If you have any additional questions please feel free to give us a call at the shop at 815-267-8400 and we will be glad to answer all of your questions and get the right tank for your needs.
