Light Monkey quick-disconnects do not have a check-valve in them, but rather a shut-off valve to prevent liquid from flowing through it when the cath-side barb is not plugged in (this is really convenient for not getting residual urine in one's drysuit when unplugging). The catheter-side barb measures 3/8"" and the hose-side barb measures 5/16"".
