Does the trim ring along with the soft cover change a zenith to a classic?

Short answer, no. The Zenith and Classic both have different purge covers, however, both use the same main body. The Zenith purge cover sits flush to the regulator body, while the Classic utilizes a nylon crush washer to seat its purge cover. Both also use a different diaphragm.
