Hi Kristen,
All Edge-Hog Regulator Systems use only Oxygen compatible lubricants and all HOG 1st and 2nd stages use only Viton Oxygen compatible o-rings. Edge 1st and 2nd stages use Buna O-rings not rated for Oxygen use above 40%.
Please see below for more information from HOG. If you have any additional questions please give Joe in our Regulator Repair department at 815-267-8400 or email him directly at joe@diverightinscuba.com
Our stated Oxygen Service Policy for all Hog Regulators is as follows:
Hog Regulators new out of the box can be used with Oxygen concentrations up to 100% at a maximum working pressure not to exceed 2400 psi. Hog Regulators new out of the box can be used with Oxygen concentrations up to 80% at a maximum working pressure not to exceed 3000 psi.
Caution: Regulators will be contaminated with exposure to atmospheric conditions and through routine use thus decreasing the level of safety with regard to high concentration Oxygen use and will increase the risk of fire or explosion. Maintain your equipment properly with routine service and cleaning according to proper Oxygen cleaning standards and procedures to assure your maximum level of safety. In addition, only use Oxygen compatible lubricants and parts in any diving equipment used with Oxygen concentration levels above 40%.
