The pictures seems to show a threaded female end attaching to the inflator; is that the case? I have an Atomic SS1 that I need a shorter hose for and it has a QD fitting for the LP hose. Will this work or should I look for another hose?

This is a standard LP hose for a 2nd stage regulator. You should be able to remove the QD fitting from your SS1 hose to install on this though.
