will the Large fit an 18"" neck without feeling too tight?

Hi Matt, the Large is designed to fit 14""-16"" plus, they do not elaborate on how big the plus is in inches. I do know the material does stretch quite a bit. I have tried the large on and it was a little to tight for me, and I have a 22"" neck , if that helps for comparison.
