Why do people use an STA when it isn't really needed on the Back Plate?

Hi Leigh, it usually a preference to use the STA, depending on their rig. My wing does not have a built in tank stabilizer like some other brands do, so I prefer to use the STA to add stability. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me direct at augiej@diverightinscuba.com.
