Is flow uni-directional?How much water ingress occurs when connecting underwater?

Flow through this hardware is bi-directional, and as far as water ingress, it will be significantly less than disconnecting/reconnecting an LP QD from a BCD. It would be such a small amount of water that it would be basically a non-factor.
